Instructions for polishing your silver jewelry: rub the silver until the tarnish is removed. You should begin to instantly see tarnish removal, restoring the piece back to its original color and shine. Remember, polish gently, but apply appropriate pressure as needed. For copper, and brass jewelry; rub gently to restore shine, or if jewelry has more tarnish, rub vigorously until dirt is removed and shine is restored. For polishing 14k solid gold jewelry: to restore your gold jewelry back to its original shine and luster: rub vigorously.
*This cloth is NOT recommended for 24k gold or gold filled jewelry. This only works for sterling silver AND 10k, 12k, 14k, 18k gold, but not for 24k gold, not for gold filled or plated gold. *Please note: you should never polish gold plated, gold filled or gold vermeil jewelry because with too much vigorous rubbing, the gold will actually rub right off! Instead, the best way to preserve gold jewelry that is not solid gold is to store it in an airtight plastic bag and periodically to gently wipe off sweat, dead skin and dirt with a very soft cloth or very soft old t-shirt.
